Shambolic Warriors

On Sunday June 24 - Midsummer Day - the Shambolic Warriors (a group of people from around the FWBO Glasgow Buddhist Centre) are staging a Celebration for Peace at HM Naval Base, Faslane. We’re going to gather for a day of midsummer magic, inviting all the forces for peace in the universe to appear around the place on the west coast of Scotland where Britain’s Trident nuclear weapons system is based. Events will include: a walk from Helensburgh to Faslane (about 8 miles); picnic lunch at Faslane; Sitting in Peace (a meditation outside the gates of the naval base) - and whatever magic, music, ceremonies and other celebrations emerge. There may be an option to camp wild (fending for yourself - minimum facilities) in a nearby wood.
