LIFE IN THE FASLANE -BIKES BLOCK BOMBS @ FASLANE 365, 12 + 13 OCTOBER.DUMBARTON POLICE CELL DIARIES

Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me - Kenny Williams

What's the worst case arrest scenario? we postulated.

Gettin arrested on a friday means your in 'til Monday came the reply.

You'd be a bit of a wee daftie to get pulled on a friday I thought to myself, what with my train back to London leaving Manchester 2pm monday (after the Climate Camp Meeting).

Anyhow, as train times are subject to alteration,so are worst case scenarios, and me, I now need to amend both. Here's how this came about...

1. Get arrested once and then released at 12pm the following day with a warning letter [This, from my friend's experience seems to be applicable to first time arrestees on a friday also,I guess to free up the cells for saturday night's Cell Celidh (some night).]

2. After first arrest (for taking a photo too close to police and not getting up from crouched position immediately) then get arrested again on a friday (for riding a bicycle around a roundabout but unfortunately bumping into an irate, humiliated Inspector who had just witnessed the Edinburgh Group instigate another successful lock-on at the North Gate) leading to a weekend in Dumbarton Police Station and court appearance monday morning. [As the Duty Inspector pointed out, this could be worse were it to be a bank holiday. For people without scottish bank holidays noted in diaries, I advise to check St. Daftie's Day.]
