A group of concerned Scottish lawyers is writing to the Commandant of the Faslane Naval base to request a meeting.
Spokesperson Hilary Patrick of Scottish Lawyers Against Trident says 'Too many people think all lawyers are concerned about is making money. Many of us think the law can be used to protect civil liberties. We are horrified that the UK government continues to hold these weapons of mass destruction, which are of questionable legality. We hope to meet with the Commandant to voice our concerns. I hope other lawyers will join us on 13 September, when we hope to visit the base.'
