We (Portobello and Lothians blockading group, Faslane 365) think we have a conteneder or two for this coveted title.
Today as we demonstrated in front of approximately twice as many police as there were us, FIRST they arrested 3 cuddly soft toys, then de-arrested them, and then after they had been placed next to the roundabout in lieu of the protesters who weren't allowed to stand there (for their own safety), then the next step was when we decided to rescue remove the toys which were getting wet in the rain, when the police said that they were to be taken one at a time to be searched in the police van. We thought they were having a jolly joke, and pointed out that the toys had had NVDA training and were very good at going limp, but no, it was for real! We provided legal observers but were not allowed to take photos in the van.
