8 Young people arrested campaigning for an anti-nuclear future.
Faslane, 28th July 2007 - eight young people from Wales, Germany and Belgium have been arrested this morning, blockading the gate at Faslane Nuclear Base in a protest against the renewal of the British Trident Nuclear weapons system. The blockade came amongst lively and colourful actions carried out by young people from many countries, from Wales and Germany to Japan and the US. The action takes the number of arrests during the “Faslane 365” year long blockade of Faslane naval base to over 900.

Students gather in Scotland to demand an end to nuclear weapons
STUDENTS will kick off a "learn-in" in Scotland on Thursday to demand a nuclear-free future.
Young people aged between 15 and 28 from all over Europe will attend an "action academy" in Glasgow and at a venue outside the nuclear weapons base at Faslane until July 30.

Young teens arrested at Faslane
Two 15-year-old girls are thought to be among nine people arrested during a demonstration at the Faslane nuclear submarine base on the Clyde.
The protesters were taking part in a year-long campaign against the UK Government's plans to renew the Trident nuclear system.
