Lucia celebration at Faslane

The morning of the 13th of December is the time of Lucia celebrations in Sweden, when processions of Lucias with her starboys and maidens spread light in the darkest time of the year.
Which place is in better need of some light than the Faslane nuclear base? So early in the morning of the 13th an international Lucia procession went to the North Gate, with the traditional white dresses, candles, glitter, stars, starboy hats and Lucia bread. The police was obviously curious and got their mobile phones out to discreetly take photos of the event.

The Swedish Lucia song was sung, which is about how Lucia steps into the house (or nuclear base) in the darkest time.
Here are the lyrics in Swenglish:

Na-ten gore toon-ga fyat
roond gored ock stoova
kring yoord somme sool furlat,
skoo-gore-na roova.
Doh ee vort murka hoose
stee-ger med tenda yoose
Sankta Lucia
Sankta Lucia.

Lucia herself together with two maids and three starboys ended the ceremony by sitting down in the road and interrupted the traffic to Faslane for a short while.
