THREE pensioners were arrested after forming a human blockade outside Faslane nuclear base on the Clyde.

Harry McEachan, 71, of Largs, Olivia Agate, 66, of Helensburgh, and Irene Willis, 61, of Essex, were taking part in the Pensioners for Peace Day.

The group is supporting the work of Faslane 365 which is staging daily protests in a bid to oppose the replacement of Trident nuclear submarines.
