"arrestables"
Everyone arrested was held overnight, some sleeping 3 to a cell, and released at lunch-time the next day. Each was given a letter from the "Procurator Fiscal" saying that they could have been charged with "Breach of the Peace", but he'd let them off this time. This meant that none of our group got court appearances, fines, or a criminal record. This is probably being done to keep the issue out of the courts, and as a 'deterrent' ... .a night in a cell is a daunting experience for most people.
Some people only decided to be "arrestable" once they had arrived. One thing that helped undecided people was being asked to say how arrestable they were on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being "Not at all" and 5 being "Fully Arrestable". The '1's went to a non-violence training meeting ... the '5's got together and started to discuss tactics and the '2-4's got together with a facilitator to think about what would need to happen to change their position. This process really helped people to get clear about what they were going to do.
